LocumNet Verification Standards

What LocumNet reviews

After a doctor submits the required information and documents, an authorized LocumNet administrator may manually review:

• the submitted medical registration certificate;
• a government-issued photo identity document;
• name consistency across the profile and submitted documents;
• the stated medical registration number and registration council;
• whether the registration certificate and identity document appear readable;
• whether the stated qualification and specialty are consistent with the submitted professional information; and
• whether the public profile photo is professionally appropriate.

Email confirmation is separate. A confirmed email address alone does not produce the Verified by LocumNet status.

What “Verified by LocumNet” means

The badge means that LocumNet completed its current document-based manual review and recorded a verified decision at that time.

What the badge does not mean

The badge is not a guarantee of clinical competence, future conduct, continuing licence status, criminal-background clearance, hospital credentialing or privileging, or suitability for a particular assignment. It is not a recommendation to hire or engage a specific doctor.

Healthcare institutions remain responsible for the credentialing, privileging, employment, statutory, workplace and assignment-specific checks required for each engagement. Doctors remain responsible for keeping their professional information and registrations accurate and current.

Document privacy

Professional and identity documents submitted for verification are handled through restricted platform access. They are not displayed publicly and are not made available to hospitals or other doctors by default.

If changes are required

LocumNet may request clearer documents or corrected profile information. A doctor can update the requested material and resubmit it for review. LocumNet may also change or withdraw a verification decision when reliable information warrants further review.
